[Hero's Park] Basic Gameplay Guide

This is a gameplay guide for Hero's Park. It will contain translations of menus and options, guide to amusement park leveling, and guide to battles. There are still some details missing but I will post those as separate guides. Please remember that this is written a week after Hero's Park opened, so I'm constantly updating this post. For a masterlist of all the guides I wrote/will write for Hero's Park, please use the tags in this blog or use this twitter thread: here.
Please do not repost this guide anywhere. Feel free to DM me in twitter for questions/permissions :).
Many thanks to @crystali999 for helping me with exploring the battle and amusement park systems and adding details that I missed 🖤🖤🖤
I. STARTING A NEW GAME

1. After the title screen, a popup asking you to read the terms and conditions will appear. Click on the blue button to read it or click the orange button to proceed.

2. Next, your profile screen will come up. Input your preferred username (your userID) on the top blank. Then, enter your preferred last name and first name on the second row. Keep it as it is if you want the default name. Lastly, enter your birthday (month and day) on the third row.
3. After entering the information, the prologue story and tutorial will start. Go through both.
4. Right after the tutorial, you will be shown the characters per team. Choose just one of the characters and you’ll get an SSR card of that member.
The tutorial shows the basic things you have to do in the game, but for a detailed tutorial, please refer below:
II. HOME SCREEN

Your home screen shows your Room and heroes you chose to stay there. It is also where you can see the current events, scouts, and campaigns (large rectangle at top left), your rank, your Battle Points (BP), and currencies.
There are 11 options in your home screen:
MY ROOM – leads you back to the Room (home screen)
HEROES – where you can modify your battle decks, level up your cards, access hero road and profiles
STORIES – where you can read all the stories (canon, character, and event)
PARK MAP – where you can see and manage the amusement park areas
BATTLES – where you can engage in battles in Hero Shows, Outside, or Events
SCOUT – where you can roll the gachas
MENU – other options like shop, player profile, and game settings
MODIFY ROOM – where you can change the appearance of the room and the heroes in it; you can also access the furniture shop here
LIKES INFO – shows you the people who liked your room and the people you liked
NOTICES – game announcements
PRESENTS – items you receive
MISSIONS – different mission lists wherein you can earn various items
III. GAMEPLAY
There are two major activities in the game:
1. to upgrade the amusement park by leveling up each attraction and fulfilling requests from visitors
2. to battle through hero shows or outside battles
A. Amusement Park

The park currently has 6 open areas, each area managed by a team of heroes. The exclamation points on the name means that there is a visitor with a request in the area. However, you still need to visit all the areas regularly to get the items from the booths.

Upon entering an area, you’ll see our heroes as well as visitors roaming the event. You’ll also notice one main attraction and two timed attractions (shops). These booths generate area-specific items than can be given to the visitors as well as kisekis, so make sure you regularly collect them.

If a character has a clock above them, click it. It will hasten the production of items in the shops and might give 1-2 items in a few seconds.

1. Boosting and Leveling Up an Attraction

Click the main attraction and a menu will pop up. Here, you’re given the option to boost the attraction for a limited time or level it up. Boosting increases the number of people to the attraction. It needs Tickets in order to proceed, and the needed tickets increase as the level of the attraction increases. When you click the Boost button, a prompt will tell you how many tickets you need for the boost. If you have enough, click OK. A timer will appear with how much time is left until the boost Is finished. You may hasten it using dias. Boosting an attraction several times eventually level up your AREA.

Once your AREA level has increased, you're given the chance to level up your attractions. Leveling up an attraction gives dropped items and bonuses both to the team and to the area. You can read the bonuses per level in the Area Info. Leveling up an attraction or the booths/shops needs the team’s specific Gears as well as kisekis. The amount of gears and kisekis you have to use to level up can increase as the level becomes higher. Sometimes, you will not be able to level up the attraction unless you complete certain conditions, like fulfilling a visitor’s request.
Once you reach a certain level for all your attractions, your amusement park rank will increase. Level 3 will give you a Rank F and will be indicated on the upper right corner of your park screen.
2. Fulfilling Visitor Requests

Click the visitor with exclamation point over their heads and read their requests. Most of the time, they request for items or for the hero team to do Hero Show Battles three times. Visitors with double exclamation points usually requests more difficult things, like for the hero team to do Hero Show Battles in Normal mode.
When the button on the bottom right of the visitor’s dialog box is highlighted, it means you can complete the request. Click on it to end the request and earn items and kisekis.
B. Battle

The Battle Window has three parts: Hero Show Battles, Emergency Battles, and Event Battles.

Hero Show Battles are further divided into team shows and one combi battle. Despite having different team shows, you can use characters not from that team in battle.

Emergency Battles appear randomly after you do Hero Shows. These battles are against relatively stronger aijuu/aijun controlled by a member of Distress. You can skip it by clicking the small left button instead of the one with the BP requirement. You can go back to play it by clicking the Emergency Battle icon in the Battle Screen. Note that an Emergency Battle is only available for an hour once it appears.
* The emergency battles increase in level as you encounter it, but at the moment it caps at level 20 for Easy mode.
C. Entering a Battle

Upon clicking a hero show or activating an emergency battle, you will be prompted to a character deck, which contains the characters you will use in the battle. There are 6 character decks in all, and you can choose any of them by scrolling right or left. To edit your deck, click the Organize Deck button. There, you can click a card and exchange it for another. After editing your deck, just click the back button.
* Certain character combinations will activate link bonuses. There are link bonuses for teams and mixed teams. Click here for the translation of all link bonuses and the characters you need in the team for each to activate.

The battle is automatic and you may choose to speed up the battle up to 3x by clicking the play button. You can also choose to let the characters automatically use their skills once their gauge is filled. Special skills depend on the characters, it might be a group range attack (e.g. Natsuki, Shizuki), concentrated attack on one enemy (e.g., Seiji, Sajou), or healing/buffering the group (e.g., Yuki, Touya).
There is another gauge on the right corner of the screen for the Ultra Technique. Once filled, you can click this button to activate a team’s special skill or Hero Rush. The full gauge carries over to the next battle until it’s used.
The battle comes in 3 waves, the last one having the strongest or boss aijuu. Your team needs to last through the 3 waves. A character might faint but if the enemies are defeated by the remaining characters, the fallen character will still gain exp. If the team is thoroughly defeated (everyone fainting), you can use dias to continue the battle with fully recovered characters or give up the battle.

Winning a battle gives experience to the characters as well as you. A higher rank unlocks stories and increases the status of your characters. You may also gain rewards. For hero battles, completing the 3 conditions will give you higher rewards. The conditions are:
1. earning 500+ points
2. clearing the battle with all members of the team
3. clearing the battle without anyone fainting
IV. DETAILED MENU INFO
Going back to each of the homescreen options:
A. HEROES MENU

1. Organize Deck
This is where you can edit your decks for battles. You can let the game choose the cards for you by clicking Recommended Formation and choosing whether to fill your deck depending on status, properties, and/ or team.

You can also change what Ultra Technique will be performed when it is activated. You can do it by clicking “change” at the bottom menu for ultra techniques. You can only use the team ultra technique if all members of the team are in the deck. The default one is Hero Rush, where the heroes, regardless if they're teammates or not, will get into a brawl with the enemies.
You can change the name of the deck by clicking on the pencil next to the Deck Name.

When you click the Display Switch button, you can see the characters in their SD battle getups. Click the button on each character to change their costumes (will be available in the future).

2. Hero Road
This is where you can upgrade your character’s card status or transform the card. Choose the card you want to upgrade, then select which step you want him to proceed. Each step has an increase in parameters or a character episode (story) for SSRs.

You can also transform the card by clicking on the “transform” icon above the steps. You need Gems in order to transform cards.

3. Level Up
This is where you can level up your cards. Choose the card you want to level up and the level you want him to be. Leveling up cards needs kisekis.
4. Limit Break/Transform
This is similar to the transform option in Hero Road.

5. Hero Profile
Here, you can check each team and its members. Click on the hero you want to read about and you will see his full profile, reliability, voice messages, character episodes, and appearance in My Room and Amusement Park.
The Reliability tab is the “heart rank” of your character. The heart rank increases every time you use the cards of the character (you can check the heart ranks of each card in the next tab). As the level increases, it will unlock content, which are the Hero Stories. Reading each story gives 10 dias.
B. STORY MENU

The stories are divided into three major parts: Main Story, Hero Story, and Event Story. The main story is further divided into teams. The Hero Stories are the same ones you can access on their profiles. Reading each story gives 10 dias.
Main Stories are earned by leveling up each team area in the amusement park. Hero Stories are earned by increasing the heart rank of the character.
C. SCOUT MENU

The Scout Menu has all the existing gacha listed. There is one general gacha which needs dias, a coin gacha which needs park coins and gives out cards or amusement park items, and a SSR present scout which needs an SSR scout ticket.
Dias are earned from reading stories, completing challenges, etc. Park Coins are earned from Emergency Battles.
D. MENU

The Menu contains other options not related to Stories or Battles. Here is a translation of the interface.

1. The Shop is where you can buy daiya packs, special scout tickets, decoration, and other items. We’ll discuss it later on.

2. My Profile contains all the user information. On the first tab, you can see your USERID, which you can give to friends who want to add you to the game. You can also see your user name, and character’s surname and first name which are all changeable. Your birthday, though, cannot be changed. Beside these information is your Oshi card. You can change it by clicking the button on the bottom right.

On the second tab, you can see your in-game status: your amusement park rank, number of dias, number of main story chapters and hero stories unlocked, as well as your start of game and number of login days.

3. My Item List contains all the items you have collected in the game, their current quantity, plus a small description of each. Clicking the orange button (when available) on each item will lead you to where you can use it. We’ll discuss more about each item later on.

4. Album is a collection of all the card art as well as special CGs you encounter in the story. There is also a list of all the costumes you have unlocked for the SD characters.

5. The Options menu is where you can adjust the volume of BGM, sound effects, and voice. You can also adjust text speed and enable push notifications. Clicking the gray button in the middle of the option box will reset your options to default.
6. Help is a small list of FAQs on how to play the game. They’re mostly basic info in Japanese.
7. The Friend option is where you can see the list of people you follow and your followers. You can also add friends here via the recommended list or by inputting specific userids. More on this later.
